"I would like to express heartfelt gratitude for the experience in the Four Pillars of Freedom Teacher Training. Not only is the program making me stronger emotionally, mentally, physically, but it is benefiting all the people that I come in contact with both directly and subtly. Ironically, as a working mom, my biggest fear before signing up was the time commitment. On the contrary, the skills that I am acquiring have a very positive effect on my whole family. My relationship with middle school daughter is open and honest. I feel very connected to my husband. Additionally, I am setting a valuable example to my daughter that one should never stop learning. The training program is teaching me how to be comfortable in challenging situations at work. On the physical level, learning to do the postures and alignment correctly is changing the body, making it stronger, flexible and more sculpted. There is also great value in practicing standing up in front of a group and communicating confidently. These skills and benefits are priceless!"
"I knew I wanted to do it; I just didn't know if I could. I talked to both Lauren and Roman for months, giving all the reasons why I couldn't or shouldn't do it, not realizing that my doing that was the start of the process. I have myself a deadline by which to decide, and I told Roman no. Definitively. Final. Period. But as soon as I did that, I already had pangs of true regret, a feeling I was not expecting. I still wavered and gave all the reasons I couldn't do it - participation, not wanting to teach, the time commitment (especially since I work weekends), feeling like my practice was sub par, etc - but finally bit the bullet after Lauren asked me why I wanted to do it and said I gave the "perfect" response, as well as Roman and Lauren being so supportive no matter what I decided. For some reason that made me want to do it more..Know that any fears you have are completely normal, but if you are considering enrolling in ytt and are going back and forth, that means the process has already begun and you should definitely do it. I can say is, if I can do it, anyone can!"
"No matter the age or
gender or life experience - the need...the desire...the drive to connect is a powerful one. To connect to one another. To belong. To be unconditionally held and loved and be celebrated for no one
other than who we are. To have a safe place in which to rest." http://www.marciescudderphotography.com/home/2012/4/25/be-like-trees.html click here to read more about a graduate's
